Another Day in Deltaville!
Friday, May 18. The various captains got up early, checked the weather, then went back to bed. This was the windiest day we've had since we got to the Chesapeake. It was also cool and cloudy. Even though everybody is getting really, really antsy to get back on the water, it hasn't stopped the daily gatherings of boating friends. This afternoon, the Doziers, owners of Regatta Point Marina where we are staying, threw a cocktail party for all of us who've been stranded. We really haven't suffered a whole lot -- we've all gained several pounds from the quantities of food and drink we've consumed this week. Everyone hopes to get away again in the morning . . . . The weather is iffy, but possibly better. Stay tuned.
