From Fort Edwards, New York, to Chipman Point, Vermont

Tuesday, June 12. What started out as a beautiful morning ended in thunderstorms. We finished Locks 7 through 12 of the Champlain Canal system today and exited the canals onto beautiful Lake Champlain. We had the entire lake mostly to ourselves, while we watched the storm clouds heading toward us. When it hit, the actual storm wasn’t too bad, but we were glad to spot the small, family-owned marina at Chipman Point on the Vermont the lake. The owners live in the lovely old stone house, that also serves as the marina office, the showers, restrooms, and laundry. Pictures to follow!
