Flotilla Day 6: Cruise to Byng Inlet

Wednesday, August 1. Today’s long cruise to Byng Inlet took us through yet more gorgeous scenery and sights to remember. We saw dwarfed cedars believed to be 1,000 years old, another Inuksuk (assuring we were on the right path), the most photographed lighthouse in Ontario, lots of cottages, a seaplane, hundreds of rocky outcroppings, and that glorious clear fresh water! We stayed at Wright’s Marina among some artistic-looking lilypads. At tonight’s Looper hors d’oeuvre gathering, we presented Karen and Bob Jantz with a basket of goodies. They have been superb flotilla leaders.

(Today we received the unfortunate news that my aunt Virginia, who had fallen a few days earlier, has been hospitalized. We will pick up our pace to get home as soon as feasible.)
