Third Day. Busy Relaxing

Saturday, January 30.
Skipped walking with the girls this morning to go with Phil, Alice, Lynn, and Jackie to the large weekly flea market at Big Pine Key. Amidst lots of junk and assorted stuff, a few gems emerged. Afterward the six of us went to the famous No Name Pub for an excellent pizza. This is another place completely decorated with signed dollar bills. No Name has been written up in Fodors and many other travel guides as a must stop. Delicious and interesting. We then rode around No Name Key until we spotted a lone Key deer. The rest of them must have been napping.

After we returned to the marina, we joined the group hanging out at One Palm Street, the makeshift Looper gathering spot. The guys have scavenged a table, complete with umbrella, a wicker settee, and a bunch of plastic chairs so that people can sit outside to chat and gather in the afternoon for cocktails. They even found an old tv. It only took a few fist slams to make it work. Bob and I had tickets to a music festival just down the street. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was quite good.
